When you live in a world of leaks and rumours, everything can seem like a hint, and maybe that’s what’s happening here- but it sure does seem like Astro Bot developer Team Asobi is dropping some potential teases for an upcoming announcement… maybe?
The studio recently took to Twitter to publish a tweet with a cheeky caption and image calling back to the doomed PS3 service PlayStation Home and its Astro’s Playroom easter egg. The tweet has caught many people’s eye, however, thanks to its timing, with recent leaks having claimed that a new PS5-exclusive Astro Bot platformer is going to be announced within the next couple of weeks.
That follows multiple leaks prior in the year that claimed that a new Astro Bot game would be releasing at some point in 2024, and claims that the new instalment would be announced at a PlayStation event in May.
Whether or not Team Asobi’s tweet is winking at those rumours in any way or if it’s just an ordinary tweet from a studio that, frankly, isn’t exactly inactive on Twitter remains to be seenSports Betting, though clearly, there’s plenty of eyes on Tea Asobi and Astro Bot right now.
